JET API 3270, JET API 6530 and JET API MultiHost are JavaTM host access APIs for use in creating new web-to-host interfaces to
existing legacy applications. JET API provides access to the IBM 3270 or Tandem/HPE 6530 datastream allowing you to write
Java applets, applications, servlets or Java Server Pages (JSPs) to replace traditional green screens with contemporary Java
interfaces. Your new interface can reside on a web server that front ends and interfaces with your legacy application.
No changes are made to your legacy application.

How it Works

Your Java code invokes the JET API methods to establish terminal emulation connections, with your code having full control over the emulated user input, and visibility of all screen elements being returned by the host. JET API 3270 ensures that all TN3270 datastream protocols are adhered to.
